THE ANSWER TO CERAMIC INLAY , Emax – A CASE REPORT

چکیده
One of the primary challenges faced by today’s dental restorative team is the need to deliver high-strength restorative options without compromising the esthetic outcome fueled by ever-increasing patient demands. The availability of improved ceramic materials, bonding techniques, new technology and issues of malgam safety have led to a revival of interest in ceramic inlays in dentistry over the past ten years. The increased demand for esthetically pleasing restorations has led to the introduction of new all ceramic materials together with improvements in resin bonding agents. Bonded ceramic inlays can eliminate the need for conventional means of retention and allow the restoration of lost tooth structure. Ceramics have excellent biocompatibility, inertness, improved physical bonding, and natural appearance. This case report describes the innovative technique that outlines the reconstruction of damaged posterior teeth with lithium disilicate ceramic inlay.

A Modified Design for Posterior Inlay-Retained Fixed Dental Prosthesis
The aim of this paper is to report a clinical case with bilateral missing mandibular second premolars that were restored by metal-ceramic inlay-retained fixed dental prostheses. The first prosthesis was of a traditional design and the second was of a modified design. The suggested design is created by modifying the retainer wings of the traditional resin-bonded inlay-retained fixed dental prost...

Objectives: A comparison study between ceramic full coverage FPDs & 3 designs of ceramic inlay retained FPDs regarding vertical marginal gap & retention. Materials & Methods: Twenty samples were constructed and divided into 4 groups according to the type of restorations: full coverage, inlay-shaped (occluso-proximal inlay + proximal box), tub-shaped (occluso-proximal inlay), and proximal box-sh...
متن کامل[Chronic cobalt poisoning in endoprosthetic replacement].
This article outlines symptoms and therapeutic options in chronic cobalt poisoning including a case report in which metallosis caused by a ceramic-metal articular pairing led to almost complete loss of sight and hearing after revision of a total hip prosthesis. At primary revision the firmly incorporated stem was left in place. For a better offset only the head was exchanged from a ceramic to a...
متن کاملEffect of ceramic thickness and composite bases on stress distribution of inlays--a finite element analysis.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cavity depth, ceramic thickness, and resin bases with different elastic modulus on von Mises stress patterns of ceramic inlays. Tridimensional geometric models were developed with SolidWorks image software. The differences between the models were: depth of pulpal wall, ceramic thickness, and presence of composite bases with different thic...
